NABTEB Boss Canvasses Popularisation of Maths -Oge Okanu
The Registrar of the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB), Prof. David Awanbor, has charged the Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN) to explore ways of popularizing the teaching and learning of mathematics.
Awanbor made the appeal at the weekend in Benin when he hosted a delegation of the Edo Chapter of MAN.
While emphasising the significance of mathematics in the quest for scientific and technological development and sustainable growth, he pledged the continued support of NABTEB to the people-oriented programmes of the association.
Earlier, the state chairman of MAN, Dr Emmanuel Ogre, disclosed that Edo representatives at the last MAN competition performed well in both the senior and junior categories.
He urged the board to encourage qualified and eligible members of its staff to join the association and support MAN’s bid to popularise the learning and teaching of mathematics.
