Lagos State Government to Move Against Illegal Schools
Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has restated his plan of shutting down illegal and unregistered private schools in Lagos State. The exercise is aimed at injecting sanity into the education system in the state as the present status appears chaotic.
According to the Governor, education remains the catalyst for the overall development of a country and the foundation on which the future of the country is built and sustained. He confirmed that his administration has embarked on the fifth phase of rehabilitation of schools to improve the quality of infrastructure in public schools while the welfare of teachers and other workers in the sector remains top priority.
