Gov Daniel Seeks Return Of Schools To Missionaries
To inculcate good moral behaviuor in the country, the Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel has called for the return of schools to missionaries. The Governor, in a statement signed by his Press Officer, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya said that “all the references that we can make to good behaviour in schools seems to have been terminated when the missionaries left.”
Daniel, who spoke at the 60th birthday of the Archbishop of Lagos, Archbishop Ephraim Ademowo, held at the Muson Centre Lagos, also stressed the need for partnership between the church and the government to evolve a better society. At the occasion, which also witnessed the presentation of a book titled ‘Christianity in Ijeshaland- Historical and Ecumenical Perspectives’ written by Archbishop Ademowo, the governor maintained that the work of the government and the church are interwoven and they both rise to meet the hope of the people through commitment and supplication.
