Education Trust Fund launches Interactive Learning Network in five states
The ETF and NEPAD Nigeria joint project worth N3.6 billion aims at providing sustainable learning through the appropriate technology platform. The scheme is being flagged off in Kano, Lagos, FCT, Oyo and Enugu states. The Chairman of the ETF, Mrs. Olakurin said that Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been identified as one of the key priority focus areas of NEPAD because it is known to aid faster delivery of education to primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. With SchoolNet as partners, the project also aims to support teacher training, institution management processes, examinations and records.
The joint project would also support the policies and initiatives of the reformed Federal Ministry of Education by providing a platform and the tools which will harness the potentialities of Nigeria’s community of learning which is dedicated to nurturing minds, creating good society and ensuring global competitiveness.
