The School Environment Sunnydale School is located in a quiet and conducive environment within the Ikeja Government Reservation Area (G.R.A.) close to the Lagos Country Club. The School is easily accessible by road from any part of Lagos. Within the school premises, cleanliness is our watchword. This ensures that classrooms are neat, fresh, airy and conducive for learning, be it at playgroup, nursery or primary level.

Evaluation of Pupils To ensure that we achieve our mission statement, regular evaluation of work done by the pupils is carried out. Specifically, progress reports are sent to parents and guardians every half term and at the end of the term. However, a special report can be obtained on request.
Administration & Curriculum At Sunnydale School, the class size is a maximum of 20 pupils. This is a deliberate policy aimed at giving a personal touch to each child. This will also enable each child to have maximum benefit of the teacher’s skill and experience. The standard medium of instruction the English Language and the school has three sections: Playgroup, Nursery and Primary. While the Playgroup and Nursery sections carry out learning through play method re-enforced by an abundance of educational toys and teaching aids, the curriculum for the Primary section includes Mathematics, English Language, French, Music, Creative Arts, Computer Education, Social Studies, Elementary Science, Verbal and Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge and Physical and Health Education. All our classrooms are well ventilated with ceiling fans and air conditioners to ensure maximum concentration of children during lessons.
Teaching Staff The school believes in exclusive, qualitative but affordable educational services. This informs the very stringent standards employed in the selection of teachers who also handle our cherished pupils. Admission Procedure The School operates a policy whereby the payment of a year’s school fees in advance attracts a discount. There's also a scheme that involves further discount: if more than one child is admitted into the school, the second (if any) and subsequent children attract a discount on their school fees and having more than three children in the school also attracts a special discount.

School Hours Classes take place between 8.00a.m and 1.30p.m, Mondays to Fridays for Nursery classes and from 8.00a.m to 3.30p.m for Primary classes. Punctuality is our watchword. Homework forms an integral part of all taught subjects and should be handed in, as and when required. Parents/Guardian are enjoined to kindly supervise their children in this regard.
Co-Curricular Activities During each school year, the school engages in such co-curricular activities as inter-house sports, quizzes and debates, excursions to places of educational and historical importance as well as end of the year concerts and end of session valedictory service for outgoing pupils. Swimming lessons are also organized for pupils as an optional service, while Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Taekwondo, Literary and Debating and Science Clubs are available.
School Visit Parents/Guardians who wish to visit school can fix an appointment with either the Administrator or the Head teacher during school days 8.00am to 3.00pm Mondays to Fridays. Such arrangements can also be made by telephone on 01-7214025. Parents are not allowed into classes during school hours as this distracts the children. Parents are welcome to discuss their child’s progress with the Head teacher at any time and also during school OPEN DAYS.
